traffic signal has recently been tested. Previously, an employee had to sit at the entrance all day long and count the\u00a0<strong>incoming and outgoing customers<\/strong>. A total of 92 people are allowed into the shop, which offers everything for real bicycle enthusiasts.\u00a0<strong>Branch manager Jens Kramer is delighted<\/strong>\u00a0and thought the idea of a modern entrance control system without staffing was great right from the start:<\/p><p><em>&#8220;In the beginning, we had come up with a card system for the customers, but it didn&#8217;t work properly. The cards also had to be disinfected. And I was always missing staff to serve at the entrance instead of helping out in the area.&#8221;\u00a0<\/em><\/p><p>Kramer is completely satisfied with the digital solution and is proud to be able to use one of the first entrance traffic lights in Saxony in his branch and thus provide his customers in the store with the\u00a0<strong>usual quality of advice<\/strong>. The field test of\u00a0<strong>eKiosk and Fahrrad XXL-Dresden<\/strong>\u00a0will continue until the end of May.<\/p><h3>5 days from the idea to the prototype and straight into the test phase.<\/h3><p>For the branch of\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.fahrrad-xxl.de\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\">Fahrrad XXL<\/a>\u00a0this field test provides a quick and effective remedy in times of the Corona pandemic and helps to\u00a0<strong>implement the official regulations<\/strong>. At eKiosk we are very much interested in the\u00a0<strong>collected data and user experiences<\/strong>: Where is the ideal place to set up the kiosk? What is the consumer behaviour? Does the traffic light work as it should?<\/p><p>The entrance system, which we developed in a\u00a0<strong>design sprint of only 5 days<\/strong>\u00a0and brought to prototype maturity, underwent a relatively short test phase due to the urgency of the situation before it was delivered to the first customers. It is therefore important for us to\u00a0<strong>further develop<\/strong>\u00a0the solution in a sensible way in order to eliminate possible sources of interference and to be able to take this into account in project planning.
