The physical prototype is extremely helpful in product development, despite the latest CAD technology, as long as the project requires it. Depending on the order, prototypes are necessary in order to accurately assess ergonomic-aesthetic aspects or to test technological innovations.
With the in-house 3D printer, ABS plastic parts can be produced flexibly and quickly, creating an interface between digital and physical modeling.
eKiosk produces everything in-house that is necessary to support development – from models and functional samples to predominantly series-identical prototypes. These can be used to make final optimizations for series production.
What defines a prototype?
- It has all the properties of the later product.
- It consists mainly of series-identical components.
- All technical components were installed.
- The surfaces and colours correspond to the series status.
