Outdoor totems at Seltersweg in Giessen

Visitors to the shopping street can learn about everything important there, thanks to two SELKET Outdoor Terminals, with touch-screens and bespoke app solution.

Since the beginning of the year, two Outdoor totems from eKiosk have been installed at the shopping street.  The interactive 55“ SELKET Double Terminals offer passers-by on both sides a 10-point multi-touch display, through which they can call up information about Seltersweg and its shops. The app was specially developed for the shopping street by Fabrik19 and offers all sorts of useful things for the visitor.  For example, the Giessener Anzeiger can be downloaded using a QR code.

The energy-efficient totems are also used as signposts, since anyone looking for a shop can use the terminals to find out about its location and opening hours. Even around the clock, as the totems are set up to operate 24/7.  This also applies to the two PCs, which are integrated into the totem – one for each screen.  Thanks to a non-reflective protective glass plate and brightness of 2500 cd/m2, the displays offer optimal user-friendliness, even in sunlight.
