New video service for banks in the Swiss canton of Uri

Successful debut! In the Swiss canton of Uri, the newly developed PHEX VS systems from eKiosk have been in use since June.

Digitalization of branch banks

At the Urner Kantonalbank, all functions of the modern telepresence systems were tested in detail over the last three months and were completely convincing. In the branch offices in Altdorf, Bürglen, Erstfeld and Schattdorf around the south-eastern arm of Lake Lucerne, the video service terminals, which were jointly developed by eKiosk and Tellma, are located and enable the advisors of the cantonal bank to have personal and direct contact with the customers in a very simple way. The video service is used by customers of all ages and meets the requirements for any kind of request. The feedback is outstanding!

From young to old: Simple operation and high satisfaction

After the three-month test phase, the initial conclusion is consistently positive. Customers are completely satisfied with the bank’s new service and see the offer as a “clever alternative” to conventional consulting. A whole 90% of all customers evaluate their experience as “positive” to “very positive”. The simple operation of the terminals is particularly noteworthy. A full 90% of the customers surveyed also describe the handling of the video service as “simple and uncomplicated”. Especially for users of the older generations, direct contact at eye level via the high-resolution display seems to be particularly appealing.

Extended service times and many application possibilities

Another positive side effect of the new technology is that the Cantonal Bank can offer a service time that is three hours longer every day. Customers can now contact an advisor personally from 08.00 to 17.30 hours. The service that can be offered via the terminals is as varied as one could wish for. Equipped with a digital sign pad, high-resolution camera, NFC interface and many other useful features, the device is perfectly tailored to the needs of the financial sector and meets all legal requirements without hesitation.

The new customer service – central and innovative

Customers are advised on all important financial topics by seven competent employees sitting at specially equipped PC workstations. The high-resolution cameras in combination with several monitors enable the advisors to provide efficient and customer-oriented advice with perfectly simulated eye contact with the customer. This creates proximity and trust!
