PENGUIN FEVER

eKiosk GmbH establishes new brand “redpengoo” for the digital check-in process

Modern and a little techy appears the penguin in the logo of the new eKiosk brand. With redpengoo, the innovative Dresden company is expanding its portfolio of hardware products with digital complete solutions from one provider. CEO Thomas Sepp identifies digitalization as an important driver for the medium-sized company’s orientation towards Dresden as a high-tech location. As the first application software developed entirely in-house, the digital solution for visitor management represents a major milestone. The appealing tailcoat-wearer symbolically reflects the service concept of the product.

More and more people are currently seeking contactless processes to fulfill corona requirements and protect themselves as well as possible. Instead of direct personal contact at the reception desk or using a pen, which has already passed through many foreign hands, people gratefully prefer input on their own end devices such as laptops, tablets or smartphones. Herein are the hidden opportunities for digital visitor management. This includes the automated check-in and registration process for entering a company building or site by partners, customers, external personnel, service providers and suppliers. At the same time, digitalized check-in offers a high degree of security for companies, as contacts are recorded in a traceable and data protection-compliant manner.

The redpengoo application software enables contactless and faster processing of visitor traffic without waiting, media breaks or time-consuming entry in paper lists. A simple example from the B2B sector will demonstrate the process: A representative of a company A is invited to a company B, and receives an invitation by e-mail including a QR code for the check-in. During his visit to the foyer, A uses the code to log in at a so-called digital porter, a device with a welcome screen and QR code scanner. He is thus automatically registered as in a conventional reception book, his contact details are already stored by the online appointment system. If required, he or she can also undergo digital security training at a self-service terminal and receive a printed, personalized visitor’s badge with a chip afterwards, which also serves as a digital door opener.

“A charming check-in solution,” explains Thomas Sepp, CEO of eKiosk GmbH, referring not only to the appeal of the new brand. “We offer companies from numerous sectors such as logistics, industry, finance, insurance and real estate a very universal and individually adaptable application platform. The complete process behind a visitor procedure can be adapted in a time- and resource-saving manner and easily integrated into the existing infrastructure thanks to the pre-configured interfaces”.
